About
Will Culpepper is a licensed psychotherapist based in Connecticut who holds a Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy. He approaches each client with compassion and the understanding that individuals emerge within and are shaped by larger, intergenerational systems such as family, culture, and religion. At the same time, he challenges each person to honor their capacity for self-determination and individuation. This balance is indicative of Will’s layered approach to psychotherapy, approaching problems from a variety of angles to treat symptoms while also supporting deeper work to address problems at their roots.
Will’s clinical training includes evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP). He also draws on training in emotional intelligence, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga.

Drawn Inward
Long before his formal education in mental health, Will was instinctively drawn to meditation as a teenager and began practicing regularly on his own prior to receiving training. This early intuitive interest evolved into a deep and ongoing commitment. Today, he maintains a consistent meditation practice and regularly attends meditation retreats in the U.S. and India.
In addition to his clinical and contemplative background, Will has spent years in close mentorship with Buddhist, Yogic, and shamanic practitioners from a variety of backgrounds. These relationships have offered him direct experience with alternative pathways to healing and insight, which continue to inform the depth of his presence and attunement in therapeutic work.

Real and Reliable
Will’s path into psychotherapy began with his own experience as a client, paired with a deep compassion for human suffering and a persistent curiosity about healing and transformation. This curiosity kindled a sincere desire to be of service and attend to the struggling and suffering in the world in a meaningful, authentic manner.
Clients have described their work with Will as being both grounding and transformative. Many have shared that they’e felt more seen, understood, and helped than in their work with past providers—sometimes after having worked with more than a dozen therapists. Will has been described as leading with heart-felt integrity and offering a warm, wise, and nonjudgmental presence. Will offers the kind of thoughtful challenging and honest feedback that supports real change and growth while striving to meet each individual with presence, clarity, and care.
